Assuring Reliability in Flight-Critical Electronics
Avionics and aircraft electrical systems are essential for navigation, communication, and flight control. The reliability and safety of these systems are non-negotiable, requiring proof that they can withstand extreme environmental conditions, intense electromagnetic interference (EMI), and critical events like lightning strikes. Compliance with standards like RTCA DO-160 is mandatory for system certification.
BQCIS provides specialized testing and verification services to ensure the airworthiness and reliability of avionics equipment. Our laboratories are equipped to perform rigorous EMC/EMI testing, verifying that electronic components do not interfere with each other and are immune to external electromagnetic noise. We also conduct environmental qualification testing that simulates conditions such as vibration, temperature extremes, altitude, and humidity.
By providing full qualification and verification services against military and commercial aviation standards, BQCIS helps manufacturers de-risk their component design, achieve necessary system certification, and ensure flight-critical electronics operate flawlessly under all conditions.

Success Story
DO-160 Testing Secures Avionics Component Qualification
A supplier developing a new flight data recorder needed mandatory qualification to RTCA DO-160 to prove its electronic component could reliably withstand the operational environment, especially vibration and temperature extremes.
BQCIS's environmental testing lab executed the full set of DO-160 qualification tests. This involved subjecting the unit to combined temperature/humidity cycling and complex multi-axis sine and random vibration profiles simulating all flight phases.
The unit successfully passed all environmental and stress tests. BQCIS provided a complete qualification report and conformity statement, enabling the supplier’s product approval and integration into commercial aircraft systems.
