Advanced Ultrasonic Imaging for Comprehensive Flaw Analysis

Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) builds upon conventional UT by using multiple small transducer elements within a single probe. Each element can be individually pulsed in precise sequences, allowing electronic beam steering, focusing, and sweeping without mechanical probe movement.

This enables faster inspections, comprehensive coverage, and real-time generation of cross-sectional (S-scan) and plan-view (C-scan) images — making subsurface flaw interpretation more visual and accurate. PAUT is particularly useful for detecting cracks, lack of fusion, and corrosion in welds, castings, and composite materials.

BQCIS employs advanced PAUT instrumentation operated by ISO 9712 / ASNT-certified technicians to perform precise volumetric inspections. PAUT often replaces radiography in production and in-service applications, providing safer, faster, and more reliable results.
