BQCIS

Delivering Definitive Precision for High-Value Metals

In the precious metals trade, every decimal matters. BQCIS laboratories deliver umpire-grade analytical precision to verify the true value of gold, silver, and Platinum Group Metals (PGMs). Our results form the technical foundation for refinery settlement, trade certification, and dispute resolution.

We combine classical Fire Assay — the global benchmark for gold and silver — with advanced ICP-MS and gravimetric techniques for PGMs and trace impurity detection. This dual capability ensures reliability from exploration samples to 99.99 % bullion certification.

Each assay follows strict QA/QC control, inter-laboratory validation, and full traceability, providing confidence that every gram is accounted for and every result defensible under contract.

Key Assay Activities

Fire Assay (Gold & Silver)

The definitive industry standard for gold and silver determination. Samples are fused with fluxes to isolate a precious-metal bead, cupelled to remove lead, and finished gravimetrically or instrumentally. Provides unmatched precision for commercial valuation.

PGM & High-Purity Analysis (ICP-MS)

Using NiS or Pb collection fire assay followed by ICP-MS detection, we quantify Pt, Pd, Rh, Ru, Ir, Os, and trace impurities to ppb levels. Essential for high-purity bullion certification and comprehensive metallurgical reconciliation.

Key Benefits of Assay & Analytical Testing

Benefit 1

Unrivaled Analytical Accuracy

Fire assay and ICP-MS methods deliver precision trusted by refiners and traders for settlement-grade results.

Benefit 2

Independent & Transparent Verification

Third-party certification ensures unbiased results accepted globally for financial and regulatory reporting.

Benefit 3

Confidence in Settlement and Trade

Definitive assay certificates minimize disputes, accelerate payments, and strengthen buyer–seller confidence.

Benefit 4

Comprehensive QA/QC and chain-of-custody documentation ensure every result is defensible and auditable.

Success Story

Independent Assay Resolves Gold Concentrate Dispute

The Challenge:

A $1 million variance arose between mine and refinery assay results for a gold concentrate shipment.

Our Solution:

BQCIS performed umpire-grade fire assays under strict QA/QC control, applying gravimetric and ICP-MS verification to produce a definitive, contract-binding value.

The Result:

The final BQCIS Certificate of Analysis was accepted by both parties as final. The dispute closed swiftly, reaffirming trust in neutral third-party analytical verification.
